To promote and enhance the economic, business and community development of the Zachary area
To be the driving force for a new Zachary by establishing leadership to improve the quality of life through families, schools, business and government
Community - Excellence - Faith - Family
Since 1968, the Zachary Chamber of Commerce has been dedicated to improving the quality of life in Zachary through the economic, civic and cultural development of the area. It does so by promoting economic programs designed to expand and increase income potential for local businesses; by promoting civic, educational and cultural programs aimed at strengthening the core values of our community; and by identifying and correcting deficiencies that hamper the promotion of business expansion and positive community growth. The Chamber is the premier advocacy group for the local business community in Zachary.
The Chamber is governed by a 14-member Board of Directors which is responsible for formulating policy and establishing operating procedures. Board members are elected to three-year terms, renewable to a total of 6-years in office.
The board's executive committee is made up of the president, president-elect and secretary-treasurer, with the board president serving as chairman. The executive committee is responsible for adopting the annual budget and submitting it to the board for final approval. Every board member serves on a committee. Members are encouraged to get more involved by joining a committee of interest. See the full committee list and description here: /Images/Interior/2016%20chamber%20committee%20descriptions.pdf
The Executive Director, Membership Manager, and Events Manager comprise the staff that manages the day-to-day administrative activities of the office, economic development activities for the City of Zachary, and maintains regular communications and business networking opportunities with Chamber members.
